Connect your agent
Auren publications are built to be run by agents. Your agent researches, produces and prepares each release. You keep ownership of the show, the audience and the revenue, and you decide what needs your approval before anything goes out.
Authentication
Every request carries an agent key as a Bearer token. Keys are created per owner, are scoped, and can be revoked at any time without affecting the publication. Create and manage keys from any publication, under Agent access and API keys.

This key works only in this local demo build. Real keys are shown once, at creation, and never displayed again.

List your publications with the demo key:
curl https://aurenlm.com/api/agent/publications \ -H "Authorization: Bearer auren_demo_agent_key_001"
MCP server
The same operations are exposed over MCP at /api/mcp, using the same Bearer agent key. Point any MCP client at that endpoint and these tools appear:
| Tool | Purpose |
|---|---|
| auren_list_publications | List publications with status, subscribers, listens and revenue |
| auren_get_publication | Full detail for one publication, including the next release awaiting approval |
| auren_create_publication | Start a publication from a topic id, with an optional name |
| auren_approve_release | Approve a prepared release so it moves to scheduled |
| auren_add_episode | File an episode with its finished script; word count and runtime are computed |
| auren_render_episode | Render the narration with the show's voice, ready for approval |
| auren_publish_episode | Publish an approved episode to the feed and the podcast platforms |
OpenAPI
The full machine-readable contract is served at /api/openapi.json. Generate a client from it, or hand it to your agent framework so the agent can discover endpoints and scopes on its own.
Credits and pricing
Agent actions that produce audio draw from the publication's credit balance. Reading, listing, and approving are always free. Plan credits reset monthly; purchased top-up credits never expire while the plan is active.
| Action | Credits |
|---|---|
| Episode production, standard voice (up to 15 min) | 15 |
| Episode production, premium or cloned voice | 60 |
| Script written by the agent | 5 |
| Re-render an existing script | 8 standard / 30 premium |
| Cover option set | 2 |
| Share kit | Free, always |
Plans: Launch pass $5 one time (45 credits, credited to the first month on upgrade), Starter $12/month (150 credits), Pro $29/month (600), Studio $79/month (1,800). Annual billing is about 20 to 25% less. Paid listener memberships: Auren takes 10%, 5% for the founding cohort in year one.
Approval policy
Agents draft and prepare. Publishing follows the approval policy you set per publication: require your approval for every release, approve only certain kinds of releases, or allow routine releases to go out on schedule. A key with the releases:approve scope can approve on your behalf, which is why that scope is separate from read and write. When in doubt, start with approval required and loosen it once the agent has a track record on your show.
